Biography
Simone La Maida approached the sax in 1987, when he began to play in the "Serravalle big band" (S.Marino). He continued the studies at the "Istituto Musicale" in Riccione and at G. Rossini conservatory in Pesaro.

In 1990, Simone began to hold concerts and he had the opportunity to play in the clubs in Manhattan, Spain, Italy and in all the major national and international jazz festivals.
Simone has taken part in a lot of theatrical activities, like "Shakespeare in Jazz", "Non รจ colpa di Pirandello", "Fabulando", "La guerra dei mondi" also together with Angelo Trezza.
As a musician or leader, Simone recorded "Svisatura melodica" (by Salsedinebbia), "Pietraltrove" (by Roberto Zechini), a cd produced by a Spanish label and featured by Roberto Faenzi, Stefano Senni, Fabrizio Puglisi and Vincente Solsona, a cd produced by the Italian label Irma Production (in which Simone played with Cristian Capiozzo, Michele Guidi, Daniele Santimone and Mario Biondi), and "Big Band" by Antonella Ruggero.
